Totally insane ending. Yes, it is fiction. Yes, it is romance, but seriously? The rushed ending ruined the story, which wasn't terrible up to that point.

I read this book years ago and it has always stuck in my mind. It was good to re-read it again. It was not the 5 star rating that it used to be, but that is probably because of life changing. Still a great story.

Time travel, Deveraux style. Meaning reincarnation and all that stuff. Can't say I liked it very much, there was just too much describing what happened and everyone was feeling and what were they thinking. And the whole story... well, maybe it did stick together, just not the way I would like it to.

such a good premise...i think if she just kept writing abt lady de grey and her story it would have been perfect. but it lost me. sort of incestous, if you ask me. i couldn t care less about the middle part, so i stopped. heard the ending was bad too, so i guess it s for the better. still, wish i could ve enjoyes it more

My all time favorite Jude Deveraux! Makes you believe in soul mates and to be careful what you say haha...could come back to haunt you in other lives!

Beginning was interesting and funny. Middle was traditional love story about starcrossed lovers, doomed from the beginning etc. The end was bad. I was like "Really?! It's 2am, I was fascinated by time-travelling, funny character and as the closure You are giving me THIS?!"
I was little angry.

What a bad ending!
The rules of the time travel changed throughout the story which was super frustrating.
I couldn’t put this book down and thoroughly enjoyed it. The missed opportunities for the MCs made me feel all sorts of feelings. BUT. THAT. ENDING!!
