This book is pretty famous and is one of those 'what-a-twist' stories so for summary I will simply say that this is moralistic/ethical science fiction novel that has obviously had huge influence on a number of sci-fi archetypes relating to interstellar travel, aliens, computers, and many other aspects of the genre.
The story is great, though the influences it has had on popular art makes it seem a little too familiar, the movie (not the book) Starship Troopers owes royalties to Card for how much they poached. I enjoyed the book enough that I decided to read the entire cycle since Theresa had them all on hand.

interesting book. unique idea. reader quickly brought in, you understand the plot quickly and the setting. you understand the stakes and why Ender is doing what he is doing.

Easily a 6+ star book. Utterly brilliant, emotional, with the most daring plot twist I have ever experienced.

I found it hard to relate to the characters in this one. Ender seems very emotionless and I can't relate to the others expectations of him that I find only fanatic (in a religious way). Even worse as he fills them in the end.
Still, the idea is new and I likes some bits (Beginning of school, the sister). I think I liked it more as it was a fast read.
