I really really liked this book but i wish it wasn’t so repetitive… Anyways a true girlboss read

Edit: I have not related to any character as much as i do with Beths, so this truly is a comfort book. It’s a 4.5

This was a fantastic book to read. It read really easily, which I didn't expect from a book with a lot of specific language about a game I am no pro at. It really gave me a completely different look on the game.
You really get sucked into the mind of Beth and how she sees things and woow... that was a beautiful way of showing us the world through the eyes of someone with a special talent. I loved every single bit of it.

Wow super entertaining, brilliant. Expertly paced, if I do say so myself. It shocked me to recollect that this book was solely about her journey pursuing chess. Never thought I’d be biting my nails whilst reading about chess. Loved the story, was fully absorbed. Superb.
P.S., if you are weaker willed and have some amount of self-confidence, or maybe non at all, you WILL be persuaded to begin learning chess, or more about it.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!! this might be controversial but I watched the netflix series first and adored it I loved soo much so my friend bought it for me so I can read it and I loved the much more than the series because it had more detail on the games and the beginning. I 100% recommend it to everyone even if they don't understand chess.
