This was cute! Weird, unique, and cute! Kind of lost me a little near the end and I had to push myself to finish cause I hate leaving books unfinished, but other then that, it was cute. Perfectly enjoyable. You can definitely tell that this is Mariana’s debut though. After reading The Wall of Winnipeg and Kulti, it’s hard to believe this is by the same author! She really improved in her storytelling and I’m excited to read the rest of her shit! It only gets better from here!

If I'm not mistaken, this was the first book Mariana Zapata published and the last book of hers I read. I cold tell it was the first as I've seen so much improvement in her plot and writing, but this was still enjoyable, albeit a kind of strange premise to say the least.

5 stars.

This is such a fantastic read! I love, love how unique the characters are and how it is not the typical romance first meeting between the hero and heroine. The story is super sweet and the relationship is so real. This is Mariana Zapata’s first book and her most underrated. The story is slow burn but definitively one of her more sensual stories. Love this story and couple so much!

She’s done it again! Lingus was just as wonderful as every other one of MZ’s books I’ve read.

I am always so refreshed when the hero in a romance novel is a fundamentally good person. So often the hero is dark and broody and has to change in some way to be allowed to be with the heroine.

I want more hero’s like Tristan! He’s good and honestly and funny and doesn’t need to change a thing! He treated Kat with respect and love and was 100% committed to her as soon as they realised their feelings. I’m a sucker for a good friends to lovers, what can I say?

The QUEEN of slow burn romance right here folks.
