OMG SO CUTE! I loved the illustrations and storyline. The artwork is beautiful and the use of different colors for each setting was cool!

My fave graphic novel and I can’t wait to continue the series! I laughed and cried throughout the novel, cheering for the characters. It’s the perfect autumn read and I highly recommend whether you’ve read graphic novels before or you’re looking to get started in the genre!

This was cute! Definitely deeper and more emotional than I was expecting. TW for death of a parent and bullying.

The colour palette is so nice and some of the frames are just gorgeous.
Despite the theme of weathered resilience and well, ghosts, the story is cute and there are some heartwarming moments.

A sweet story, and one with a great fall atmosphere without being spooky.

There's a bit of bullying, and a lot about death and grief, and obviously ghosts are presented in a positive to benign light (including a negative comment about exorcisms), but otherwise seems suitable for young readers.

It's not really about ghosts. It's a coming of age story and ghosts play a small part in it. I wouldn't have picked it up had I known that as that's not really my taste.

One thing that kinda bothered me, the book bought up systemic issues like poverty but chose to magically solve them with ghosts. Not solve all of poverty, just for this one kid. I don't really like those kind of stories, and I understand that it's meant to be a short light read for a younger audience so it's probably not trying to be that complex, it's just not for me.

One thing it did well was the exploration of depression, grief and parentification.
