So this review somehow was lost in the abyss of the internets. So I will give a quick one again. I absolutely love this book. It is by far Stiefvater's best work. This is the book she was meant to write. I loved every page of it. This world she created is beautiful and haunting and I enjoyed the difference between each characters lives. I cannot wait to read the next one, I cannot wait to find out what happened with each of them. I cannot give too many details about this book, because to do so would ruin the wonderful and exciting development throughout the pages. Know this, if you even slightly liked Shiver, you must read this. If you have never read any of her work, you must read this. In conclusion, please read this.

4.5 Stars

The only thing that really kept me from giving this five stars was that I was a little confused by the ending. That could just be my fault since I was reading it at 2:30 in the morning (though I did really love that last line. It blew my mind even though I had suspected something like that and was a great way to leave the book hanging and make me anticipate the next book, which I have downloaded on my phone but can't start reading yet as I have at least two other library books that have to be turned in by next week, but soon!), but there were just a couple of things that I'm not quite clear on. Hopefully they'll be explained a little better in the next book or we'll at least see the repercussions of choices made.

Even though I was a little afraid of the potential love triangle, I liked how it was handled. It was an interesting way to look at it and to explore this concept of fate/inevitability that Blue has hanging over her head like the proverbial sword of Damocles. The visions given to them by that super creepy tree were interesting, too, especially Adam's. I want to know what that vision is about. I have a bad feeling that the next two books are probably going to make me cry, but Stiefvater is very good at that where I'm concerned so I should be somewhat prepared.

This is going to be a short review as I'm tired and I just liked the book too much to pick it apart. I liked the characters and their complexity and I just want to know more about all of them. I liked the twists and turns and the creep factor that wasn't too creepy for me and I just want to know more now! Curse due dates and deadlines. Oh well, hopefully I can plow through those next two books and then jump into The Dream Thieves soon...as long as it doesn't interfere with NaNoWriMo.

I seriously have no words for this book, I have never read anything like it before. I didn't like it in the beginning because it was slow and boring yet I couldn't put it down. It was SO addictive. It was not what I expected. To be honest, I was also expecting a lot more romance but there wasn't really any. Most of the time while I was reading this, I was a bit confused.
I loved this book but I didn't love it enough to give it 5 stars? I don't know. My feelings for this book are all over the place. But, I need the next book NOW. Is it September yet?

There were some awesome twists and shocks in this that blew my mind. I'm not typically surprised by books but there were several times in this I was left mouth agape and goosebump-ridden. Definitely worth the read. On to the next! I hope it's as wonderful as this was.
