Cinderella was boring so was this only reason why I'm not giving it one star because only Daphne deserves that.

Another Bridgerton story, another host of characters to fall for. Although when first reading this book I thought it wasn't going to break out of the cliche' Cinderella story fast enough to keep my interest going it did have the well written and engaging Bridgerton undertones we all know and love by this point. This being the third installment in the series and I did enjoy it. Benedict is yet another male Bridgerton who has more to his story than meets the eye and Sophie is a feisty warm blooded character whom you just want to root for. I enjoyed reading this but I did constantly find myself more engaged into figuring out what happened to the past beloved characters of the book and what is going to happen to the rest of the family (ie Colin and his future Mrs.) than the main characters of this book. Might be a tactical edge the author has to keep me reading the series but I'm not ashamed to say I fell for it and I look forward to more of this series.

My favorite in the series. Great Cinderella retelling, and Benedict is my favorite of the family. Truly, the family and growing cast of reoccurring characters in the ton are the highlight of the series.

Also, no repeating tropes that the first two books had, thankfully!

a charming cinderella retelling (definitely have been reading too many of these novels if I am using charming as an adjective)

I had no really expectations going into this one because I knew it was a cinderella retelling and it is a story we all know quite well, but I was surprised by the ~spice~ this book had. not that the other books weren't spicy, but this one truly outdid itself.

side note: violet bridgerton truly is the GOAT
