Danube in Candlelight- Budapest Moon Book Three by Stephanie Burkhart is a 2013 Desert Breeze publishing release. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In this third installment of the Budapest Moon series, it is now in the early 1920's and we see the children of the Duma and Varga family as adults. Morgan Duma and Adam Varga grew up together but now as they are grown their feelings have evolved.
Before those feelings can be examined fully, Morgan's mother, Kate goes through a horrible experience which opens a door long closed within the family. Morgan and Adam will finally learn the truth about their fathers and why they have peculiar eyes. Also, another family arrives who also have the unique eyes and rumor has it they kill while in wolf form, something Duma and Varga do not. To add to that, Zoltan is attracted to Morgan also, putting her in potential danger.
I have enjoyed this family saga beginning with Matthius and Kate and moving forward through time to see how things will go their children. It is only fitting that Morgan and Adam have forged a strong bond. Things will not go as smoothly for the couple as one might think. Adam is in love with Morgan, but has doubts about her feelings for him, thinking perhaps it is just her wolf lineage and what basically amounted to hormones causing her to respond to him physically. His hesitation will have long reaching consequences. The other thread of this story deals with the changes that will take place for Kate after she suffers horrible injuries. The Kristos' family and their lack of control over their impulses also lead to a disruption in the Duma and Varga family. The Kristos' could however, learn things that could help them gain control over their shifter kill urges, but this remains to be seen... possibly in future installments.
This is another solid chapter in the series. I do recommend reading these in order to gain the most understandings of the family and the issues they faced that brought them up to this point and how these new developments will jar them out of their comfortable lives. If you enjoy shifter romance with a historical setting or if you like Gothic toned novels you should check into this series. Overall this one is 4 stars.
