i can definitely see why this is considered a classic. i feel like it has held up really well these past 70 years. timeless and thought-provoking

Beautiful prose that made me feel like I was somewhere between a delightful fever dream and a waking nightmare after a long night of drinking.
But the curmudgeonly nature of the book's overall sentiment left me feeling put off, and a little attacked. Almost like Uncle started talking about politics at Thanksgiving dinner.

The book delves into a society that rejects books. Rejects thought and difference of thought. The book is mainly relevant due to the American Book Bans. I feel that Ray Bradbury choose burning books, to make it a metaphor of destroying all things different. In reality, as seen in Florida or America in general, if you just make it hard to get books or less convienent, you do the same as burning the books down.
It’s a necessary read, to make sure Literal and literary history is not repeated.
My main gripe is how short it is, short stories are not my type/fortie so take my lower star score with a pound of salt. It’s more of a PERSONAL PREVERENCE, less so a critic of Ray’s writing style.

The ending was a bit disappointing for me
