This book had a slower start for me, but it's a good quick read for those who like thrillers. About halfway in things pick up and you are thrown some twists and turns. Genevieve really does grate on my nerves and is a textbook "helicopter mom" really (with a secret). The character stories and development is well done throughout the book even with this being a thriller with twists. I did feel like I was left kind of in limbo at the end though.

Lucinda Berry has YET to disappoint me! Now I must go buy more of her books, because she quickly made her way to one of my favorite authors.

“Pain only lets you push it away for so long until it demands to be heard.”

This wasn’t super thrilling or twisty but it was somewhat entertaining. Slow burn. Multiple POVs. Short chapters. Mysterious. Crazy characters. It was wild at times. I think I ended up giving this 3 stars because of all the loose ends and lost details. Left me confused at times and not fully invested!

Skip it or read it.

Another win from Lucinda!! Wow this book - obviously I couldn’t put it down - read it in 1 day! Such a fantastic, suspenseful thriller, like Ms Berry is well known for. This one includes autism representation, which is beautifully done, speaking as a mom of a 15-year old boy with autism. Though my son is extremely high functioning compared to sweet Mason in the book, I absolute love how Lucinda explains and educates on autism as she weaves this amazing story. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!!

Wow. One very interesting perspective about the evil that lurks within some people. I ripped through this in a matter of days. It was a great, page-turning read. My first Lucinda Berry book (I think), and I'll be back for more.
