Oh, this was beautiful. I feel as if I might have found the message saccharine, but the art and surprises kept me involved, and I ended up being moved.

Honestly just go in knowing as little as possible. It’s weird and it’s beautiful and it made me feel Big Feelings.

An absolutely beautiful graphic novel with stunning art and a narrative that was one of those stories I didn’t realize I needed until I was reading it. Ram V’s meditations on what it really means to have a miracle in life, on humanity’s relationship with death and our evolving views on it throughout our lifetimes and interactions with different cultures, and on what we cling to to remember someone who’s gone were all beautifully said and deeply resonant. This will go down as a graphic novel I recommend to anyone and everyone I can.

This is a truly moving South Asian fanstay story, and art is fantastic.
