Wretched has given me one of my favorite FMCs ever. There's something about morally grey villainous woman as leads that speaks to my soul, and Evie is all of that and more. I absolutely loved Evie and the plot of this story. I was hooked from beginning to end on how things were going to unfold. The chemistry between her and Nick was great and the spice was pretty good.

Now I felt so torn about how to rate and review this book because for majority of the book I was enjoying it as much if not more than Hooked and Scarred, but the ending is where things fell apart for me. First of all, I have epilogues that barely have a time jump to build on the happily ever after, tbh the epilogue shouldn't have been branded as such given how it played out in my opinion. But my major issue was that the conflict between Evie and Nick is so large (in my opinion) but happens so late in the story that we don't get enough of an active effort of resolution on the page.

But overall, I did still enjoy the book. I love Evie so much. I appreciated all the nods to Wizards of Oz and I'm excited for which fractured fairy tale we get next.
