4 books in and it's still just as addictive! Touches on some really heavy topics in a very smart way. Looking forward to picking up the next one and seeing where things go.

The slow burn is burning everyone, and I’m seated. I love the different interweaving storylines but sometimes it’s hard to keep track of everyone lol.

How this book ended up on my TBR: I read the first book for a challenge for The StoryGraph. But this is an easy sell for me. I'm a goblin for Greek mythology for the most part, and thus, my rating for this book is relatively high.

I enjoyed this volume a lot more than the other ones. I saw a lot more emotional development for both Persephone and Hades. I think both were very warranted, but it was especially important for Persephone, who up until this point has seemed very young, bubbly, and naive. And she is still all of those things, but she is also emotionally mature and very willing to put herself in uncomfortable situations when it's the right thing to do. Hades is processing some baggage and, I suspect, will be doing more of that in future episodes.

I love that Persephone confronted Apollo, who significantly upped his harassment of Persephone. I also get the sense that Artemis is something of an apologist for Apollo. True, she's known her brother far longer than Persephone, but we have not seen her reach out to Persephone for several books now.

Hecate and Eros continue to be my favorite characters. They both stepped up to protect their people and were stylish and delightful. More of them, always.

The scene where Hades and Kore deal with their grievances in such a sweet way instead of yelling and getting mad was so mature and refreshing to see. It shows how much they care for each other, that Kore didn't want to hurt Hades' feelings even though she was upset with him, and how Hades consoled Kore that someone as pure as her has nothing to apologise for. I just want to give both of them a big warm hug. Every scene with Apollo made my blood boil. His gaslighting, narcissistic personality in this webtoon is infuriating, and triggering too. So if such content triggers anyone, please exercise caution while reading this volume.
