finished this at 12am but the app was down

3.65/5!!

This was an academic rivalries to lovers (one of my faves). I think, just my opinion this book needed more angst and more of the "rival" aspect. And i didn't get too attached to the characters, even the mc. But what i like about it is the Asian rep and also the cute scenes between eliza and len were cute. Overall a cute and quick read.

ok, this time i swear i meant to make this book last more than a day. i am incredibly disappointed that i finished it in one day.

i think the reason that i liked this so much is because the characters aren't perfect. i mean obviously, they ain't horrible people but they are flawed and you can see that.
most romance books are just pure romance with barely or not at all flawed characters but this is like part romance part a more feminist plot line, (which i fucking adored) and it made the book 1000 times better.

everyone needs to read this book

3.5

if "my heart says yes but my inner feminist says no" was a book, it would be this

3.5

A highly entertaining story about a girl and her friends growing up and discovering what feminism means for them and what choices really are their own.
My qualms, the main characters are all so tropey. Can't we have a main character who isn't 100% counter status quo while also being feminist or powerful?
I wonder what this book would be like if it were about Serena.

Ik vond Eliza zeer frustrerend.

Okay I absolutely loved This book! Kind of my new favourite YA romance book
