i love rivals to lovers and i love len <33
eliza was a bit of a pick me and honestly the whole opening premise seems misguided because len, although less qualified, definitely gave a better speech. but i think everyone learns from it with time and i really enjoyed the rep

Feminist romance >>>>>

i read this in one sitting and let me tell you i was squealing throughout the whole book . THEYRE SO CUTE

1.5 stars for the first 30 pages and the last 2 pages.

A quick and easy read. It wasn't a bad book overall, I love the fact that the author really described what it's like to be a daughter especially a first gen immigrant household. The book really focused on feminism and misogyny and how much it takes over our day to day life.
One of the things I didn't appreciate was the fact that we started right right on the day of elections, I feel like we didn't really know the character yet and made her come off as just whiny. The lack of character description before this made it really hard to feel sympathy for her or understand where her frustration was coming from. This takes up probably the first half of the book. Other than that, a great read.

AHHHHHHHH I LOVED IT

This book kept me up at 4 in the morning because I couldn't stop reading!! Eliza was such a great protagonist and I just loved all her friends and the complex relationships she had with them. While a lot of the events that happened and the things people said in this book frustrated me, there were so many moments of just pure joy and fun. The characters' banter kept me laughing throughout and I was literally smiling like an idiot when I finished reading because of HOW CUTE the ending was!

I was surprised that I didn't hate the romance because I'm generally pretty picky about enemies to lovers situations but man, it was just too cute.

I know that some people are going to say that Eliza is an unlikeable protagonists but to be honest, I didn't really find a reason to not like her. Also I love the Asian representation because most of the people that I go to school with are also Asian lol.

This book comes out September 14 so MARK YOUR CALENDARS and CANCEL ALL YOUR PLANS.

Thank you Netgalley for sending me this arc to review!

quite fire if i do say so myself but what are the chances that i read two books babck to back that both address the danger of santa monica winds speciicallywhat a coincidence.. okay but anyways other than the romance which was fire the whole discussing feminism w/o specifically giving a clear response was nice even though there was some pick me stuff going on...? but maybe that was intentiaonal and part of the nuance who knows. 4 bc i couldn't relally think of bad things except it doesn'bt have tthat extra bit thatd make it a 5 yk
