Every time I read one of these stupid books, Asimov starts off so sexist and weird and I think I'm finally going to find the book in the series that makes me hate them, but then suddenly I'm having a great time reading a silly little detective story! Every time! This book was great, even if Gladia is horribly written, even if Elijah is kind of a bum, even if the twist was kind of goofy.
Spoiler It would've made more sense for Elijah and Daneel to kiss goodbye passionately at the end instead of him and Gladia, but the world simply wouldn't have been able to handle how much that would've ruled.

The first two thirds of the book were quite a bore and a chore to get through. The last third was quite good. This book would have been better if it was more condensed like the first two robot novels.

An amusing book riffing on 'I, Robot.' The main character is a bit of a misogynist dick-head in a way that is a little bit too par for the course in early sci-fi.

Still a quick read and I enjoyed it.
