Another awesome volume for an awesome series.
There were a lot of little things that I liked, like Giyo and Tanjiro trying to formulate a strategy to get on Genya's brother's good side (can't wait to see how that goes lol) and Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro getting some time together. Also, Zenitsu's reaction to the letter he received was chilling, he was so calm. I get the feeling badass Zenitsu's going to be making an appearance soon, which I'm hyped for! Let my boi shine more, he deserves it!
Himejima's backstory was interesting and while he's still my least favorite Hashira, I did enjoy what his backstory offered regarding the continuous theme of family and family struggles. His sword technique is super badass, though.
I am so HYPED, Shinobu got a chance to shine this volume and I am THERE FOR IT! Seeing her rage on full display and her awesome sword technique was an absolute treat. And I LOVED seeing her sister give her the strength to push on, I fucking LOVE how important family is in this series and how characters draw on their feelings towards their families for strength. I will never not love this theme, ever.
So, this volume signaled the final arc of the series. And there are 23 volumes total, right? Sooo, this final arc's gonna be 7 volumes long? *deep breath in, then out* Oh boy, this is going to be an emotionally exhausting final arc, that's for damn sure.

!!!! SPOILER WARNING !!!!
Oh boy its getting serious. Like, making my chest ache serious. From the first page to the very last my heart rate has been probably pretty unhealthy.
Starting off with the Master's sacrifice... Using himself as bait was so strong but so moving. His kindness outshines Tanjiro's, which is really saying something.
All the hashira pouncing onto Muzan was emotional and made me want to cry so made. As did Tamayo's actions. As did Tanjiro ready to fight alongside them.
What got me the most in this volume was Shinobu fighting Doma. Unbelievably cathartic to see that creature get what he deserves. I'm just sad to see what it means for Shinobu.

“AND
IT'S ALL
BECAUSE
…
…I BURN TO
DEFEAT YOU,
MUZAN.”
This volume sets up the final arc in Demon Slayer, and despite the fact that are are still 7 volumes remaining after this, it is all focused on the Hashira’s attacking the Infinity Castle in an attempt to defeat the Kizuki and Muzan at last. This volume has one of the best moments in the series, with Muzan and Ubuyashiki meeting at the Demon Corp’s Headquarters, with it secretly being a trap to capture Muzan and start the fight against him. A thrilling volume that gives just a glimpse at the action to come over the course of this arc.
