This was one of my least favorite books by Pike, it's got a pretty bad ending, I don't know whether the author was moralizing or whether he really didn't know how to end it, but either way, this car was out of gas.

Not really a horror fan but summer always makes me daring and I don’t think there’s something more amazing and cool that being in the middle of summer and finishing the night with a thriller novel, preppin’ for the heart of Halloween aka my time to thrive. Apparently, Christopher’s Pike novels are horror YA novels, well let’s take a look at my first novel from him, the one that pops the cherry, Road to nowhere.
Teresa runs away from home one rainy night, driving along the California coast she takes two hitch-hikers with her, Freedom and Poppy. They start telling stories, Teresa about her failed relationship, Poppy about a sad woman she onced knew and Freedom about a brilliant guy with a bad temper. Apparently Free and Poppy are magicians going to a gig up North, more him than her anyway. They start talking about a couple and their unfortunate events during their love life, which is quite bizarre if you think about it because they don’t talk about their own life even though Teresa talks about hers. We still don’t know why she left home. But the novel was short, suspenful and quite eerie and it was packet with blows, I liked it. It delivered and I couldn’t get the ending.
