Saw the author give a live reading a couple years back and he left an impression that evening though I'd forgotten his name until I picked this collection up. Very raw; you sink into the imagery and tone. Tender and compelling.

No suelo leer poesía y este lo leí por la universidad pero la verdad me ha sorprendido lo potentes que han sido estos poemas

Beautiful poetry, so interesting to read some of the context and inspirations and then go back in to see the works from a new perspective.

Powerful and varied poems on the d/Deaf experience, nationality, identity. Not for me, but beautifully written.
