Saw the author give a live reading a couple years back and he left an impression that evening though I'd forgotten his name until I picked this collection up. Very raw; you sink into the imagery and tone. Tender and compelling.

Beautiful poetry, so interesting to read some of the context and inspirations and then go back in to see the works from a new perspective.

another recommendation from Jo and what a wonderful collection of poems this is, both so sad and so life-affirming.

Powerful and varied poems on the d/Deaf experience, nationality, identity. Not for me, but beautifully written.
