A delightful collection - full of interesting facts and references from fiction, all bringing additional insights about the animals included. A rallying call to make sure that we continue to see these animals on this planet, despite the human made challenges to their survival.

This book was wonderful and I wish everyone would read it. It is very effective at showing us in very few pages how much wonder and beauty we are surrounded by and how we humans are simply destroying it. It is hopeful in its outlook. While a lot of species of animals have gone extinct due to human behaviour, a lot of species on the endangered lists can still be saved and this book with its brief overview of 21 endangered but fascinating animals gives plenty of reasons of why we should save them, adjust our behaviour, petition for changes, even if it is just out of respect for nature and to appreciate the beauty of these animals.
