This was kinda fun.
I love her for not giving up on him.
And I expect more from the story but I am afraid of he break up and the second love interest.

Discovered this book on a random day while it was raining and cold in London and felt like cuddling with a good book, and ended up OBSESSING over it.
I truly love discovering new authors and Nicole was such a treat, her work is truly impressive being a debut novel, the story is new and refreshing yet excruciatingly descriptive and rich. I loved every character and the world building is very nicely executed.
Ophelia is so strong, and I am in love with EVERYONE, especially Cyph and Tol

I'll keep this review short because I dont want to be too harsh. The series is described as NA romantasy, but it felt like YA to me, which is unfortunate because I'd recently decided I needed to transition away from YA. So it's definitely possible that the reasons this book didn't vibe with me were because of the more YA nature and the main character's archetype. Ophelia is the greatest fighter of her generation, the chosen one, multiple people are in love with her (one of which she somehow doesn't realise, when it couldn't be more obvious) and she makes questionable decisions yet is the undisputed leader of the group. It looks like some reviewers say that she gets less irritating in the sequels and I imagine there's tons more plot across the next four books, so I might be ducking out before it gets properly going, but unfortunately I don't think this one is for me.
The Curse of Ophelia is equal parts beautiful, triumphant, heartbreaking and hopeful. My heart
aches for the torment and trials Ophelia battles and swells at the found family that would go to war for each other.
This book is EPIC, I truly adored every second of this world and these characters!

This book was so good!!! Love that it’s got romance but the fantasy aspect is more of the main plot, it’s a good change up from the 50 million enemies to lovers, shadow daddy, cookie cutter I read (and love!!) every day.
The multiple POVs made it so much more interesting, when usually I don’t reach for books with that element. I also loved the flashbacks, they added a really good layer to the story.
Absolutely loved it can’t wait to start book 2. So many mysterious things going on I am dyinggggggg to know what happens

Tell not show is the author's motto.
It's almost laughable how they don't even try to give information without thousands of lines of exposition.
Ophelia is truly not like other girls, in the worst way possible.
Suddenly an angel appeared??? What in the Annunciation is that??? Didn't know Ophelia was also a Virgin Mary.
Chosen one trope, check!
Also, this a whole lot of work for a guy we barely know anything of!!! Aside from being the greatest warrior ever, and blah blah, we only that Ophelia loves him. And... Nothing more.
Only a quarter in and I already lost interest.
I would rather die than read again: “I was not made for skirts, Father. I was made for swords.”

Relied too heavily on the found family trope for my taste. Needed more plot and less wallowing
