A lot of trigger warnings for this book!! And everyone in this book need THERAPY ASAP. Soooo much trauma. Loved the plot and overall story!

This author has a way of writing authentic and real characters, and make us feel their journey.

Here, both characters had a very tough past that they reacted differently to…
▪️The man was kidnapped for years and is trying to accept being with a partner: he’s vulnerable yet quite open.
▪️And the the girl was left all alone until she turned into a pole dancer to survive. She’s distant and closed off.

Their story was very emotional, how they healed one another.
The quotes were so powerful and beautiful!
☞That part of the story I loved!

☞A part I loved less is how the story dragged a bit towards the middle, and the ending was somehow over dramatic …
But that didn’t ruin it for me!

This book was just beautiful. I had read another book from Mia Sheridan and I would say her books are beautiful. One of the most beautiful love stories I've ever read.
