This book was excellent! I could not put it down. Now I have to go back and read the Rylee Adamson books. This one, I laughed, and I cried. The action is pretty much nonstop. The crap that Pamela goes through and has been through, makes your heart hurt for her. The characters are so well written, the scenes just pull you in.
This new world that Pamela is trying to survive in is filled with danger, powerful magic, zombies, trolls, gargoyles, werewolves, elementals and who knows what else. Humans are trying to survive in this new world and it is not an easy thing to do. Pamela makes friends and loses friends. She must decide if she will risk helping people or if she will remain on her own with her familiar Oka.
Pamela is being hunted herself, she can not count on help from Raven her father, or her friends from her past, she doesn't even know if they are still alive. All she has is Oka but is that enough?
This one is a must read for any fantasy lover. If you love action you will not be disappointed. There are some amazing characters in this book, I can not wait until the next one comes out.

Holy wow!

So this starts as the world is still breaking and Pamela seems to still have an innocence to her. Bad crap happens and she's hard and seems to be retreating into herself. Of course it's children who pull her back. This was an amazing read and I'm really excited to continue reading this series.

I saw something about expecting more from this author and I hate to agree but I do. I loved LOVED her other series with Rylee and Lark and seeing Pamela had her own one I was so excited and curious about it and its not bad but I can't say I loved it all.

I will say this book gave me feelings; anxiety, happiness, sad.

Curious about how this develops.

This one took some time for me to get into it. Pamela was, of course, in The Rylee books but I was very aggravated by some of her choices near the end. I was not able to connect to the elemental series so I’m sure I missed a part of the story as a whole.
Pamela is still very young and she really does not understand her gifts. She is waiting for everyone else to teach her and help her and hold her hand. She wants to be grown but she doesn’t think things through. Oka is a fantastic familiar and I love the relationship they have. Mac is an interesting addition especially with my favorite appearing at the end. And I’m very curious to know if Richard is indeed connected to Liam. I really hope this story is bringing us back to the family because I really need more rylee and crew in my life.

Amazing story! Shannon has done it again. I loved Rylee & Lark but there is something about Pamela that just makes you scream with delight.
Is she a good witch or a bad witch? Only time will truly tell!

This long awaited book about Pamela did not disappoint.... I LOVED IT!!!!

Frankly I am still in AWE of Shannon Mayer....

Pamela has struck out on her own after the destruction of the world... Thanks Lark the Destroyer...

The trials and tribulations she is put through is nothing but staggering.... yet she somehow struggles through them.

She is strong, she has Oka and some new friends and allies to help her through...

I am sure her struggles have just begun and I can't wait to see what comes next for her.

It wasn't terrible. However, characters and plot points just seem to come out of nowhere. References to relevant information from what I assume is other books written in this universe feel stilted and clunky. And the 'woe is me I can't use this dark power to save my loved ones and I'm cut off from the (presumably not dark?) power I used to have except I do and I'm not' stuff gets repetitive.

A fantastic spinoff series! Pamela, from the Rylee Adamson series, takes center stage in this book as she fights to stay alive in the aftermath of the reset of the world. The world is broken. Humanity has been all but completely decimated. Shifters roam looking for those whom they can take down, or bring into their groups, and some of the humans who have survived are just as evil as they were before the breaking. Pamela, with Oka, is fighting to protect those whom she is helped by. But it will not be an easy task, especially when there are those who come and hamper her severely.
Aimless Witch by Shannon Mayer literally had me squealing in 10 seconds flat when the author described Oka. Let's just say I ADORE cats. LOL! So, yeah. I went a little nuts. Now, this book is fast-paced, insanely good and trust me when I say, will have you in your feels. So, get ready. Pamela seriously has a major uphill battle to fight as things just keep hitting her one after the other. I never stop rooting for her though! I keep hoping that she'll find someone to help her out, but everywhere that she turns, she's told that there is no help. That she, Pamela, must become the helper! She must become the teacher. I'm just like...mind...blown!
This novel is INTENSE! I couldn't put it down. It was a bit of a slow start for me at first, yeah, I have some catching up to do, but once I got deeper into this book nothing could tear me away. So my recommendation is this...you plan on reading this book? Clear your schedule. Get someplace you can be alone. Because you will not be wanting to put this book down or be disturbed while reading. Yes. It's that good. Also, make sure you have some kleenex nearby. I literally cried. More than once, too. I love stories of where things don't go perfectly and this book fits that description. You hope for the characters, but then when things begin to fall apart you get to see them rise even higher and become so much more.
I have to admit, Shannon Mayer is absolutely one of my favorite authors and she continues to amaze me with each story that she writes. I can't get enough of it. This author keeps me coming back for more. When I finished the book I howled...Give me more!! LOL! I am an avid fan and reader of end of the world books, and this book is perfect. If you're not familiar with the Rylee Adamson story, read that first before you dive into this book. That series set the stage for this series.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. This book is fantastic. I need more. I want more! Pamela is such a fun character and I love Oka. Grab this book! Read it to the end! It's purely fantastic. I honestly cannot say that enough. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
