It is so long since I read the Driven series that I had forgotten what happened!

After having a quick recap through my Goodreads reviews, I jogged my memory and started listening to the audiobook version. To be quite honest having read Driven and falling in love with Colton and Riley I was really looking forwards to hearing the story from Coltons POV, unfortunately the narrator did my head in and I did not believe a word he was saying this really put me off.

However I am glad I finished listening to it as I got to hear Coltons point of view, which was at times annoying but overall enjoyable,

Once this book auto-downloaded I was up til 2A reading. I could not put it down.

At first I was really bugged with the author's explanations at the beginning of each chapter but as time went on I loved knowing what the author was thinking and how she saw things. I loved reading things from Colton's point of view instead of Rylee's as he was so frustrating and cocky at times w/her. It was refreshing to see him battle his insecurities and coming to terms with his emotions and feelings especially in some of the bigger scenes of the three books. I also felt like it made the couple and their relationship even more real to me.

I love this couple so much, I could have kept reading more and more.

"Wave that checkered flag, sweetie, because I'm gonna claim it."
"I promise nothing will be more valuable in my life than you. That you will never be inconsequential."

Extras! We All Love Extras!

Love that Kristy decided to do this book. Loved hearing Colton’s point of view. And how their story came to be through his days. I think I’m even more I love with him. More in love with their story.

I loved the extra scenes with Becks and Colton’s Dad. 💗

How can you not love to get inside Colton's head! I love male POV books and this one was awesome to see how he felt during pivotal scenes from the last 3 books. I love that she did this one for her fans. Thank you!!

Very nice companion piece. If you liked the Driven trilogy, you'll enjoy delving a little bit into Colton's mind. Most of these have been posted on blogs in the past, but the author changed and expanded some of them quite a bit, so it's really worth the read. I wasn't as big a fan of the Driven POVs as much as the others. I never really liked Colton too much in Driven and his mind is just all over the freaking place. I think it may be because the author was more focused on Rylee during Driven and at the time wasn't really concerned with justifying Colton's actions. She writes about the whiplash in his mind multiple times and I gotta say, I experienced that myself while reading and it was painful.

By Fueled and Crashed, it's clear she had a much better grasp on the character and it shows even in these POVs written after the books were published.

I really enjoyed seeing the "bromance" relationship between Colton and Becks. I have watched my husband interact with his buddies and I swear they sound just like that. I know some people have complained about the cursing, but seriously, some men really do curse that much. I know, I've witnessed it first hand. Becks is a great guy, a real guy's guy, but he seriously cares for Colton and Rylee and wants them to be happy. We see some of it in Fueled and Crashed, but it shines through quite nicely in Raced.

There's also some interaction between Colton and his dad (always a huge plus) that I truly enjoyed. Bromberg created such wonderful secondary characters, that it's hard not to want to know more about them.

There are some new expressions and witty banter for us to enjoy. It was over way too soon, but I get that unless we see the entire thing written from his perspective, most of us will not be happy. So, I'd rather let it go for now and look forward to a 10-year gap novella that will eventually be released.
