I'm feral for this novella. Two butches in their late 40s/early 50s gathering courage to ask each other out after years of mutual crushing? It felt like a warm butch hug, so comforting and cute. I would love to read a million stories like this!

soft and real

This may be my favorite of the Moonlighters novellas. Getting to see to older (around 50s or so?) lesbian women find joy with one another was great. I also loved how low stakes this book was - it just felt like these characters really had their head on their shoulders.

Would recommend for folks who are happy with all vibes no plot and want to celebrate queer joy for older established lesbians.

Representation Notes:
MCs: lesbian around 50 (x2)

Short and sweet! I really liked this - it doesn't have a third act break up, which was a nice change after just having read the first two books in this series. The book has a nice cosey feel to it. I'm also always looking for Sapphic stories with butches so a book with TWO butches is a score.

The last of this series and if you've read the others just that fact that it focuses on the bartender is draw enough! A really sweet story about finding love later in life. It's kind of a slow burn romance except we come in after it's been smoldering for a while. The author does a really good job of making us feel that in what is quite a short book.
