I can't wait to finish the series. This book felt like a place holder.

Second Read:
I agree with my past self. Unhinged definitely suffers from some middle-book-syndrome; the plot drags for a good chunk of the book while we instead focus on the relationships between Alyssa and those around her—namely, the men. (Even though I do think this is one of the better-done love triangles in YA.) I do love the plot of Wonderland seeping into the real world, even though it's a while before there are consequences to that. Altogether, 3.5 stars, because I like it slightly less than the first book, to which I also gave 4 stars.

First Read:
I feel like it took while for the plot to actually occur, but then it got really good really fast.

Absolutly loved this book. You learn so much about Morpheus. I actually felt kinda bad for him at some points. Starting the 3rd book now <3

Jeb was a bit more easier to tolerate. His romance with Alyssa is, unfortunately, even more nauseating in this book than the first one. They act like a pair of hormonal teenagers and I honestly think they mistake their close friendship and lust for actual romantic feelings but who am I to judge. The plot is a bit better even if it's a bit confusing and meandering. The characters feel more like people in this book instead of caricatures of stereotypes, but I think that might just be because I'm getting used to them. I really wish that the plot was the central focus in the book instead of the romance and love triangle.

I liked the first book but I wasn't amazed by it. This book however, was way more enticing and I felt like I was part of the story. The plottwist are unexpected, which is great, and the characters and their motives are as muffled as ever. I have come to love the characters and know I'm sad the series is ending near.

Ugh. I really wanted to like this. Splintered was decent. BUT EVERYONE IS SO ANNOYING AND JUST AWFUL CHARACTERS. The only character that was redeemable at all is Morpheus and he's just not enough to save the book. I spoiled myself on the last books to see if maybe, just maybe it got better. ....It doesn't. So needless to say I will NOT be continuing on.
