Has some problems with the science, but the relationships and the turns in the storyline are worth it. Listened to the audiobook but got the paperbacks because I loved the series so much.

3.5 stars. It was definitely an enjoyable and fun sci-fi story with a lot going on. Don't have much to say about this one other then I had a fun time reading it

Shoddy stuff. Felt undeveloped in every aspect, almost negligently so, perhaps lazily so, and had the feel of a story written by a teen rather than an adult. From my reading of it, I'd say this is a book for those who don't really want written fiction at all and would rather be video-gaming.
