i agree with the general consensus that the book is good, but the show does it better. even though it could sometimes feel a little off-putting, i liked hearing characters speak about social things/life in general the way i imagine people in that era actually would—give or take a little i'm sure.

it's so funny how little edwina matters in the book, she truly does not give a shit ab anthony and i love it.
i was tearing up at the bee scene at first, but then when he went berserk i was so weirded out and confused?? i don't feel like there was enough conversation about what happened with him there.
finding out anthony lives to be in his 90s was very cute and made my heart happy :3
