ARC review: I was provided an advanced copy of this book for an honest review - Undying Resilience will be released on August 31st and is the 3rd book in the Ruthless Desires series.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series so far and this installment is no exception. There is a trigger warning that comes along with this book and it is significantly darker than the first two books in the series so please heed that warning. With that being said, we see quite a bit of character growth and development in this book. Elira balances the trauma with strength nicely and we see the 4 main characters grow together and separately. Oh and of course the spice is real, as always! I can’t wait to see what is in store next!

I can't put these down.
There's a warning at the beginning of the book that this one is darker than the first one. Yep, it really is. And I'm still diving head first down this rabbit hole.

Part of this book was really hard to get through, but it was totally worth it to get to the amazing parts after. As usual, Tempest Mensah, Blake Lockhart, PJ Freebourn, and Michael Gallagher did an amazing job!

Liked it less than the others
Was anyone else hoping Wren died just so that the story could only be about Oliver, Rhett and Elliot?!
No? Just me? Okay.

ARC REVIEW
Thank you Elira for sending me an ARC! I have no words to describe how I've grown to love these characters and this series. I absolutely loved this book! It was amazing that we got to know a little bit more about the guys' history. Also the book was fast paced but also detailed well which I love. I've waited for this story to continue since I read the first two books a few months ago and I can say that the wait was worth it! This book made go through an emotional rollercoaster but still loved every second of reading it.

Undying Resilience
HERO /HEROINE:
Wren is a barista working at a coffee shop. Major issues to work out from previous relationship abuse. Her dream is to work in Graphic design and travel the world. Currently in a new relationship with three men.
Oliver, Rhett, and Elliot, guys who have known each other since high school. They work, live, and are in a relationship with each other. As far as I can tell there is no “leader” between them. The guys are hitmen.
Rhett comes across as standoffish but really he's just a nervous puppy with anger issues, and he has major trauma over the death of his sister.
Oliver comes across as the golden retriever type and he has Mental health issues.
Elliot is the charming one.
REPRESENTATION: MMMF, MM
OVERALL THOUGHTS:
Picking up 5 days After the last book, this book spans almost two weeks. The grand total of time from book 1 to here is almost a month. We get our first, “I love you” and a violent kidnapping.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
Something I'm struggling with further into these books is the amount of sex in short periods. Like sometimes, this girl doesn't eat for a day and a half because she's too busy fucking, working, or sleeping. It's unrealistic the amount of energy she has when she doesn't eat but has the energy to work, train and marathon fuck.
SAFETY
AGE:
The guys were in the same grade together growing up so I think they are all around 28.
SEXUAL HISTORY:
They continue to have deeply emotional and intimate sex with each other.
CONDOMS:
Nah
TUMMY BUTTERFLIES:
They're doing it all. 5/5
PUSH/PULL:
No
SEPARATION:
Yes, the guys are separated from her for a day and a half max, but she's been kidnapped.
CHEATING:
No
OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama:
No
SEX SCENE WITH OW/OM:
No
POSSIBLE PET PEEVES/TRIGGERS:
Violence, kidnapping, torture, drowning, death
HEA/HFN:
HFNno epilogue, but the ending is that they are together.
