Idk for me it was def not better than the first 2 but it was still really good. I enjoyed it a lot, it just that I don’t feel like this book was “darker” than the 2nd one and I was so excited to get that !!
It's probably more like 3.5 stars but I love the MMCs so much that I can't bring myself to downgrade the actual star rating.
My praise for this is the exact same as the prior two: the MMCs in this are absolutely top tier. The relationships between them are lovely, and honestly I wish I were reading a book just about them. Wren continues to be annoying, and serves a purpose only so that I can imagine myself in the spicy scenes.
I'd say it continues to be about 90% spice and 10% plot, but please don't think that's a complaint!

it wasn’t as good to me as the other two books, but it was still good. it felt like it went by pretty fast.
My favorite author, my favorite characters, my favorite world. Somehow Elria continues to blow it out of the water. There was not a single point in the book that was just alright. The whole thing was absolutely phenomenal. She does an amazing job at writing dark romance that is so focused on consent without it being awkward or having the love interests go way too far to keep the FMC. She gives us these morally grey, "burn the world down if you hurt her" alpha holes who are so focused on making sure she's safe/feels safe in every way possible, including from them. Ugh I just this is absolutely amazing and I'm so happy. There's not enough praise in the world I could give this book!!! And the spice.. THE SPICE ugh these books have the best spice I have read. Especially when it comes to consent which is really hard to find Especially in dark romance, everyone leans towards edge play with dubcon/noncon. But we get kink along side explicite safe sane consent everytime. Again if I could give this 10/5 I would! Absolute masterpiece
