This was a solid YA mystery novel, just like the others by this author. I actually did not see the big twist coming, but it was a little on the outlandish side, so I don’t know how I would’ve seen it coming. Regardless, the story was very very readable and I would recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries.

Really, the setting is what makes it above average: a fictional island off the East Coast called Gull Cove island, which is only 12 miles long. The small-town feel combined with the glitz and glamour of the monied crowd make it seem like its own little word, which helps a lot, because it allows the reader to easily suspend disbelief.

I technically read the whole thing but it put me to sleep so many times that I can’t tell you what it’s about.
