Original review
This is, and I hate to say it, not as good as the original series. While I did enjoy the story -- and how I got to see some of my favorites come on the page again, at least in mentions -- it just wasn't as strong. I kept waiting for a point, to see why Sanderson felt the need to carry on this story beyond what it needed. I don't feel as attached to the characters in this one. The plot is meh because it doesn't feel like there's a point to this or a huge climax that we're going towards.
At least, in this one, I got some reminders of the people I loved in the first part of this series and there might be a point to this coming up soon (aka the next book).
Graphic: Gun violence, Death, and Grief
Moderate: Religious bigotry and Gore
