Part of the Landmark Supreme Court Cases series. Written as simply as possible for a book that necessarily has to include legal jargon, this is a fascinating look at our history, especially concerning freedom of speech. Mary Beth and John Tinker were expelled from school for wearing black armbands to protest the Vietnam War. Terms are written in bold and defined on the same page. Many primary source photos. Facts are clearly stated and does not sway into the territory of opinion. Highly recommended, especially for curriculum that includes the Bill of Rights and the Amendments.
