I read this because someone from a podcast i like recommended it.
I have read a few of Dave Ramsay’s books and liked them. This one though is pretty boring. There’s a few entertaining parts but overall, you could read the last chapter and the post script and get the gist of the book.

A comprehensive and relatively light read, laying out many timeless lessons on personal finance. However the novelty of this book lies more in how Housel writes than what he says; most of his lessons have been written countless times before in previous personal finance books, yet many failed to express them as simply and effectively as Housel.

Most of it is common sense, despite what the author will tell you

A good book for starting to think about money, especially in conversation with another person

I'm kinda too young to get anything out of this yet. But, it's weirdly useful, I guess? Because I can apply some lessons in this book to other things.
It is refreshing to read someone not talking about money like it's this big number that you need to gain more of, but a tool to live a better life. Every other financial advisor I see talks about getting more money but I think it's nice seeing that there *is* a point to it all

Found it really easy to read and a good framework about how to think about investing and savings. Definitely recommend for anyone who is saving for retirement or for anything at all.
