The only part I didn’t hate is the setting but I couldn’t properly enjoy that because I hated everything else. Clementine (Jane, Bunny, Teeny) does not have a personality which makes sense considering she doesn’t remember who she is, however, this made for the book to be pretty boring. She was so selfish throughout the entirety and then blames everyone else in the end. Honestly, I don’t understand how I made it though.
2.5 / 3 stars
Enjoyable though sometimes problematic and predictable. Really easy to read and good supporting characters. The main character was the least likable of the bunch, but she had extenuating circumstances, I suppose... ;-)
Contains language and sex (closed door).

The Upside of Falling Down was definitely a page turner. I couldn't sleep one night so I stayed up late reading this book. I kept telling myself: one more chapter! But I just couldn't put the book down! Though it was a quick read, it read like an adult book in my opinion even though it is a YA novel. The typical YA romance was there, but because of the secrets and Jane/Clementine's amnesia the novel was much more than a simple romance or coming of age story.
2.5/3
it was cute but so predictable and i hated the ending :)

Started out pretty strong, but started falling fast. If I was attached to the romance the twists may have been more worth it, but as they stand I could see them and was disappointed.
3.5 stars - Sweet, easy read. Not anything special, but I love the amnesia trope. Clementine woke up with amnesia after a plane crash where she was the only survivor in Ireland - Rather than trying to go back to her old life and work on regaining her memories she runs away with someone she met at the hospital, Kieran. She becomes Jane and tries to find herself.
It's hard to put myself in the headspace of an 18 year old that went through such trauma as surviving a plane crash... but I feel like it was hard to believe. It lost a lot of believability because of the selfishness of not thinking about the people already in Clementine's life (like her FATHER.)
Twists were cute but semi-expected with the way everything was set up.

~ easy read (well listen)
~ tad predictive with girl falling in love with boy, especially after they have
