I liked this. I label it "realistic" (a break from my usual paranormal/apocalyptic), a contemporary romance. I mean the whole plane crash/sole survivor/memory loss is pushing the "reality" envelope, but we'll accept that suspension of disbelief.
I was listening to the audio edition (included as part of KindleUnlimited). Liked the Irish accents of many characters (as Ireland is the setting of the story, even though our protagonist is American). There were some flashbacks as memory returned. Confused me a bit in the audio and I was glad to have the Kindle copy also for reference. More clear there, as the memories were in italics, which set them apart more. But the audio gave clues earlier ... as the male voice even back then, had an Irish accent (which you wouldn't figure out until a little later on just reading).
Love the title, and there were a few little gems of wisdom.

I enjoyed the book but I didn't love it. The storyline was good and in some ways it was captivating. I loved how the main character took her life into her own hands and how she slowly realized (and re-realized, if that's even a word) things about herself. It was a good and easy read.
The upside of falling down is a book about identity and finding yourself. Clementine Haas finds herself waking up in a hospital in a foreign country with no memory after she was the only living person that was rescued from a plane crash. With the feeling of her memory never returning she sets out to discover herself and find out who she really is.
I enjoyed this book I thought it was well thought out but it was predictable. The twists in story I figured out early on, the main character was rather aggravating at times so it decreased my rating along with some unnecessary cringe worthy moments is why I rated this 3 stars.

I could read this over and over again.
Hands down one of the best books I have read! Kept me busy during my quarantine. There is an upside to falling down!

I am a sucker for a good Irish romance, but this one fell a little short for me. The characters were so young that it took the fun out of it.
2nd book in a row where I’ve cried due to unexpected kindness. I must be in an emotional state of mind...
Rebekah Crane does a remarkable job of narrating what it’s like to be a young adult trying to figure out who she is. I didn’t ever have memory loss, yet I could relate to so much of Clementine. All of the characters were just superb.

This book was a really good breather from some of the more intense books I've read. The plot wasn't groundbreaking and was, at times, a little formulaic, but I had fun reading it.
It's a boy-meets-girl story about Clementine Haas, who is the sole survivor of a plane crash in Ireland, and Kieran O'Connell, the boy who saves her and helps her find herself. Clementine, calling herself Jane, has Kieran help her escape the life she forgot and start a new one.
The first part of the novel is a little slow and I wish that the plot picked up faster than it did. The twist at the end also came in the second to last chapter and I wish it had been revealed a little sooner. However, I did enjoy the twist and thought it was a good way for the author to tie in Clementine's old life with her new life.
Since I am sucker for romance and will happily admit I love boy-meets-girl novels, I really enjoyed this read. Knowing it was YA helped me overlook some of the far-fetched aspects of the plot and just let myself enjoy a cute love story. Of course I was rooting for Clementine and Kieran because I think I had a little crush on Kieran and thought he was the perfect boy (I mean, c'mon, a gorgeous Irish boy with blue eyes, how could you say no?)
Overall, I give it a 3.5/5. It had a happy ending that wrapped up nicely and, while I wished it were earlier in the story, a twist that I wasn't completely expecting. I would say this book would great when you want a quick read that you don't have to focus on too much.

Delightful
This story was a fun read from start to finish. It makes me want to book a flight to Ireland!

“The feeling like no matter what I do, I'm going to fall. Something will toss me over the edge. Instead of letting that happen, I make the decision myself. I get to decide when to jump.”
