Very satisfying ending, I figured out the murderer but I was over 80% of the way through before I called it.

A page turner with a satisfying ending. Lucy Foley has cemented herself in my eyes as a great mystery storyteller and I can't wait for her next book to come out. 

There are some disturbing themes in the book that caught me off guard, so I'm adding the CWs as part of my review.

This was a suspenseful thriller, though I partially predicted the plot twist.

A pretty cookie cutter mystery on an island. I think the bows were tied a little too neatly for me in the end, but it was suspensful and a page turner for sure.

A great murder mystery; I found myself constantly guessing who was the murderer and who was the victim. And some of the twists literally caused me to gasp. 

Foley also does a great job with characterization. I was able to perfectly visualize each character and understand their motivations.

What a great murder mystery! I don't know how others figured the ending out with all the twists the author was throwing at us. I had guesses as to who was killed and who did it but I was way off each time. The only things I wasn't a big fan of was the bouncing back and forth in the timelines, which was confusing at times for me, and the pacing felt a little slow for me at the beginning. Overall, a great story! I'd definitely like to read more from this author in the future.
