I don't normally read mystery books but this one was fine. I'm not well read enough in the genre to judge whether it was a well written murder mystery but I will say I wasn't suspecting the culprit.
The audiobook was great because each point of view was narrated by a different reader which helped differentiate characters more easily.
It should be made known that there is a lot of potentially triggering content involving self harm, suicide, and abortion as well as content warnings for alcohol and drug use.

this was much better than The Paris Apartment. I did not see some of the twist coming!

What a great murder mystery! I don't know how others figured the ending out with all the twists the author was throwing at us. I had guesses as to who was killed and who did it but I was way off each time. The only things I wasn't a big fan of was the bouncing back and forth in the timelines, which was confusing at times for me, and the pacing felt a little slow for me at the beginning. Overall, a great story! I'd definitely like to read more from this author in the future.

An excellently written, wonderfully intricate thriller mystery. Foley's five narrators are evocative, their distinct voices a perfect blend.

C-R-A-Z-Y!!! This book had my jaw locked on the floor. Foley really throws unexpected curve balls that slam you across the face. This book is definitely in the top five book I have ever read. I don’t understand how she does it. This book was honestly perfect! I believe everyone should read this book! I would do anything to read it again for the first time!

It was really hard to get through this book for me. It was almost a DNF. I had to get the sparknotes to get excited about it cause i had no idea what what happening, what the point of it all was, where it was going, all of the characters were shady and ominous as fuck and i didn't like any of them except Hannah, kind of. I found my self skimming and skipping so much of the scene setting. Idk. Maybe cause I went into it not knowing what to expect. Not for me. Though I see the Agatha Christie comparison.
