Spoilers - I do not like that FMC went from a virgin to having public sex in a heartbeat and they drug everyone around them into their kink.

I enjoyed the plus size rep, the banter, the punny animal names (bonus points for being Star Wars themed), and general sex positivity. They were horny, a smidge kinky, but still always respectful. I also appreciated that they actually communicated and that the fake dating didn't drag on.
I do wish the thread about her getting nominated for an award was tied up somehow. It was one of the only big things that felt left hanging.
Favorite quote:
"Oh man, I had swallowed too. Did that mean I wasn't a vegan anymore?"
Literally had to pause the audiobook to contain my laughter and compose myself at that one.
I know I love a book when I read it in audio or ebook, and then go to buy a physical copy. This one is already in my cart.

This was a really cute and quick read, perfect if you're looking for a romance palate cleanser. Trixie is literally the girl next door from Chris Kingman, all-star professional football player who has been obsessed with her since high school. They're best friends, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want more, and when Trixie asks him to be her fake boyfriend for her all-girls high school reunion, he jumps at the chance.
There's a lot of really great aspects of this book:
-BODY POSITIVITY. Trixie has been a curvy girl her whole life, and grew up learning to be confident in it and who she is.
-Positive sex work representation. Trixie's mom is a former sex worker and never shies away from it. She didn't hide it from Trixie either, and while there are negative things that happen in the book related to it, it's never painted in a negative light by the main characters.
-MMC is down bad. Sorry, I just really love when the guy is in LOOOOOVE with his woman, and Chris Kingman certainly was.
-Really great family (and found family!) dynamics. The support the Kingman family has for each other is unwavering, and after Trixie is accepted into the fold of the Cowgirls, the same is said for them.
Why isn't this a five-star read? Some of the dialogue was cringy, and honestly I'm not sure if I would have had a different experience without the narration. I also felt like Trixie fell for Chris really quickly, after years of this man pining after her when she apparently had no clue, so it felt a bit quick for me. I am a slow burn girl though, so that's just my personal preference!
This is the first in a series, and I think I will be continuing.
