Este libro lo escuché en storytell y puedo decir que es muy corto, que nos habla de un hombre campesino que ambiciona tener propiedades extensas para su vida, como meta máxima de existencia. Entonces conoce a una familia con muchos terrenos y decide proponerle un negocio para comprarle a menos precio. Justo cuando se iba a cerrar el trato, se da cuenta de la trampa y tiene un final insípido, en manos de sus propios empleados.
Las reflexiones que podemos sacar es que la ambición nunca es buena, sea la que sea. También de que existen muchas traiciones alrededor de los negocios. Que las personas suelen contagiarse o imitar tus comportamientos y que los finales son de igual proporción a lo que hiciste en vida. O al menos, eso fue lo que me dejó la historia.

This was really good. How Much Land Does a Man Need? takes about half an hour to read. It's a beautiful and concise story that deals with the potent themes of greed, desire, envy, and work. This is for sure worth your time as it is thought-provoking and speaks to a culture shaped by workaholism and capitalism. I think this would make a great discipleship resource if you’re trying to help those you lead recognize the dangers of overworking, the illusion of limitlessness, or believing the lie that our satisfaction and contentment will be found if “we just get the next whatever.”
