What's not to like? Combine a funny, smart woman, a sweet, sweet man, add in a little forced proximity, and a lot of chemistry to come up with a short but totally hot novella that fits in a reading challenge environmental prompt.
Cute story. Novellas and short stories are always a challenge to rate. Enemies to lovers trope with an interesting dynamic. It's not the best but a decent quick read.

This story was so cute, I missed Ali’s writing. She just has a way with words! I love these short novella’s, they’re perfect. I know they would end up together, also I usually cannot stand stories that are past to present. However, this story is the way I like that done, so I’m happy.

This was cuter than I expected! Hadn’t read an Ali book all year and have had these novellas for a while, so I decided to give it a shot. Ended up being pleasantly surprised!
This trilogy follows three women in STEM who are best friends and each get their own love story. First up was Mara. She inherits a house from her former advisor and quickly finds out, she only owns half the half and the other half is owned by the advisor’s nephew, Liam. The two don’t hit it off upon meeting, but quickly sparks begin flying between the two.
The chemistry was good, the STEM aspects were interesting, Helena (advisor) seemed like the sweetest lady and reminded me of my advisor from college. Overall it was quick, easy, and fun!
