I’m in an extended irritable moment, to be sure, but just found this grating.

Funny and honest in a way I enjoyed much more than her first book. There was at least one sentence every chapter that I identified with in a cellular level. As a shy and anxious woman there is so much to relate to that is laid out in a light way I truly admire.

Samantha Irby made me snort way too many times while I read this, she’s too damn funny. I feel lucky that this book was released during the pandemic because holy shit I needed to laugh! Life is too short to take too seriously and if I can figure out how she does it, I would be a hell of a lot less anxious and more fun to be around. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to read Meaty (because somehow I missed it!). Thank you for the laughs, Sam.

I love love love Samantha Irby’s writing voice. She is funny, quirky, intelligent, cool, and personable.

This book was entertaining. There were lots of moments that I didn't feel were really relatable since we have such different personalities, and then I'd get to certain chapters (like the one about music) and feel like she was speaking to my soul!

Big fan of her tone and wordplay across all three of her books, but several chapters here felt like they were re-treading old ground covered in the previous releases.
