3.5 but I'm boosting it a star because I'm really happy for Nicole Maines crushing it and putting out more work.

Solid story, featuring absolutely gorgeous art, a great shoutout to ball culture, and a cute and funny reference to Superman: Red Son (IDK if that was Nicole or Rye's idea, but great either way). Awesome origin story that hit all the right notes, and thematically a good exploration of how you never really come out once as well as themes of community, belonging, and found family. Tense and cozy exactly where it needs to be, and I really didn't see the twist right at the end coming.

Only rating this 4.5 because I feel there could be an extra 50 pages. I'm sure Dreamer gets more time in A-Town in subsequent installments, but IDK, it felt a tad rushed and I feel like maybe we could have explored the idea of a queer alien haven more?
