I loved The Celebrants and The Guncle so I was excited for this book. It just...dragged...on. A few times I thought about not finishing it but I am glad I did cause the last part was the best part.

Meh. I loved the first one but this was just not needed.

Was really saddened by Patrick’s hurtful way of talking about lesbians throughout the story. Maybe the author thought it was a good way to teach a lesson about stereotypes but it was very disappointing to me since I had grown to love Patrick in the first book.

I loved the first book in this series, but found Patrick to just be irritating and immature in this sequel. Not my favorite (which made me sad because I adored #1). The kids are still cute, but are written as fairly one-dimensional, and the conflict between Patrick and Palmina is illogical and silly.
