It's a cool idea, but I feel like it could have been written a lot better. Things were written in an intentionally obscure way.
I guess that's the issue with trying to write dialogue for the ultimately wise character. Frank Herbert does not have *that* much wisdom to share, so adding to the ideas which he actually wanted to communicate here (about rule, humanity etc) he added lots of dialogue of pretentiously stated crap ideas of Frank Herbert on language, women, and "homosexual tendencies". I guess this shouldn't be a surprise given the first book, where we were presented with the description of Baron Harkonnen, the only gay character in the whole series, and "women cannot see the inner self, we need a man" Bene Gesserit.
As a result, what could have been a very interesting book is full of jarring moments and mumbo-jumbo dressed like wisdom. I hesitate to give it two stars, but I give it three because the core idea this book explores was pretty good, and I did enjoy reading it.

Worm man.
Some books are particularly hard to rate. I think for me this is one of them. I don't quite know how I feel about this book, I think there are certainly some portions of it that stick with me. I think there are also portions of it that felt a little like they dragged, which wasn't something that I experienced with the other books in the series to this point.
I think sometimes books in series benefit from a reread, I think this is one that I will re-read in the future, just to see how I feel about it.

Interesting read. Bit of a mistery at the start and then slow reveal, kind of expected ending.

Lento, muy filosófico para mi. Totalmente alejado del primer libro, no es una novela. No tengo el cerebro para entenderlo dkldkf y tampoco lo quiero crear, me quedaré con solamente la trilogía que es buena.

I just finished God Emperor of Dune, and while I enjoyed parts of it, I’m a bit disappointed overall. I kept expecting a big revelation at the end, but things unfolded more or less how I predicted from the start. The book was hard to follow at times but I stayed curious about where it was going, but in the end I felt like I needed more. I feel kinda but for Leto tho but at least there was some relieve for him at the end. I’m happy to finish the series here tho
