Its time for the worm boy. Any dune fan always hypes up the God emperor but few have the patience to read all the way through the four books. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying the new characters introduced instead of missing the characters I had grown to love over the previous three instalments. Herbert's wresting with his own misogyny and homophobia through the relationship between Duncan and the fish speakers takes the work in a novel direction in a work that grows more and more fatigued towards the end. I recommend for those curious but what new things it brings to the table are weak bobbles compared to previous works.
