I love Katee Robert, and while I think she is like the poet who writes essentially the same poem over and over throughout their career, I happen to really like the poem. She writes sex without being a narc about it, and political power struggles without clumsiness. She doesn't shy away from killing abusers! This was hot, I'm so glad there are others set in the same world. I was hoping for fantasy/size play but oh well.

I really didn't like this addition to the story. I didn't like the plot because it was too similar to the one in the first book. I didn't like Hook and Tink's relationship and I thought the smut just wasn't as good as it's been before.

I am excited to see the next book in the series, but I just really didn't like this one.

Spoiler I don't know if this author knows how tasers work, but you don't just get someone on the arm and they drop to the floor. You at least need to tase them in the neck or head area for that to happen.

I was very invested in this one up until about the 40% mark. The situation surrounding Tink and her past with Pan was interesting, and her deal with Hook. They had instant chemistry that I was here for, and out of the whole series so far, the romance felt more genuine than other couples. Unfortunately, around that 40% mark, I got very bored. The book felt a bit repetitive until reaching the ending with Pan. Overall, just an okay read.

This is my favorite book of the series so far! Tink is just so relatable as a character. She is confident but she has insecurities and that is what really stood out to me and made her real. And Hook. He is book boyfriend material for sure. He is so sweet with Tink and just wants to take care of others. They are just perfect together. And don’t forget the hot hot dirty sex. It is so goood.
