The beginning of the book felt like if Katee went along with making Desperate measure a marriage plot, but as I got to the middle of the book it felt like it's own.

I love Hook and Tink! I didn’t think it could get better than learn my lesson but worthy opponent had so much more than just the romance!! There was  backstory and real emotion in this one which I really felt it from the characters .
So far Hook and Tink are my fave 🧚🏴‍☠️

Of the Villians books I have read thus far this is my favorite!  Tink is a wonderfully built character with much more depth than I expected.  Hook is just great, and Peter is a dick.   It's fun to get a new version of the old tales.

Was this objectively good? No. Not all at all. Was it a fun read? Yeah.

This book was far from perfect. The writing style was choppy and there was some glaring errors.

However, I do feel like this was the best book in the series so far. Tink and Hook both have the best chemistry. This series is far from being considered a true romance novel, but this couple was the best romantically developed.

I loved how their banter and how well their two personalities mixed together. There was so much built up tension and sexual frustration. And the fact that Tink picked her safe word- Pirate- after him? Omg.

Tink- She was a bratty submissive. Who is working through the problem of ex-boyfriend, Peter. She’s having a hard time figuring out her place in Carver City and facing reality of her feelings.

Hook- A dom, who’s been having feelings for Tink for a long time. He’s been a lot more of a softer dom than the other doms in the series. He worries for Tink and always values her happiness.

I think Hook has been my favorite MMC just because I imagine him as the Hook from Once Upon a Time.

Anyways, the story was sex heavy. It got pretty kinky- (there was a fivesome with Malone, the Beast, and Gaeton) but the softer scenes with just Tink and Hook were the best. There was more of an emotional connection to those scenes that I really craved in this series.

The storyline was fine- for a two hundred page erotica. I would have liked to see more after the climax.

I’m not sure if I didn’t like this much as KRs other books because it was my first foray into the Wicked Villains series or if I just found this one sub-par in general. I feel like there was so little tension built between the characters romance and literally zero pining or space for complex feelings.

I did like Tink as a heroine but it was hard to get a sense of who she actually was as a person outside of her trauma and relationships with “territory leaders”. I also super do not understand the world building and politics of this society at all— is this modern America? Is this somewhere else? Does nobody find it strange that there’s a man named Beast?????

I did appreciate a much wider variety of sex scenes in this one— way more creative and interesting than Electric Heart and Radiant Sun for sure! I also love that everyone in this universe is bisexual, A++ for that Katee Robert!!

A fun and erotic twist on the characters from Peter Pan. Like all of Katee Robert books, it’s full of spice and fun sassy characters. Definitely an enjoyable read!
