This was my first Jeffrey Archer book. I was reading for my book club. Overall, it was a good read. The pace was a little slow for me in the first half but I do feel that this is where Danny's character start to grow. I really enjoyed the second half as this is where the action starts.  The book had a good level of description where I was able ro visualise what was happening as I read.

I listened to this story. What a wonderfully told tale of murder, love, betrayal, etc. The story is long, but well told.

A good modern adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo". I couldn't put it down and it consumed my life for the two days it took me to read it.

I found this storyline a bit basic and not his best.

Leste den på norsk - Fanget av Fortiden. Uvanlig plott, minnet om en moderne versjon av Greven av Monte Cristo. En skikkelig pageturner for min del. Komplett omtale ligger her:

Danny is accused of the murder of his best friend and the court proves him guilty. Is it his fate to be a Prisoner throughout life?

A racy plot with brilliant twists that can keep us engrossed throughout reading. The narrative has emotions entangled.

Unpredictable, Emotional and 'Unputdownable'.

It's not a book that will change your life, but I found it an incredibly engrossing and enjoyable read!
