This will go down as one of the best books I have ever read. It provided insight into so many aspects of life, CPTSD & trauma, the Asian American experience and more in such nuanced, playful and painfully real ways, while also inspiring me to continue my own emotional growth. I finished the book feeling invigorated and better connected to myself. Will be recommending this book for years to come.

This book was gorgeous, deeply moving, and spoke to me directly to my heart. Complex PTSD is something that is becoming more and more well-known and acknowledged and as someone with single-event PTSD, it's really interesting to see the ways the two are both similar to and unique from one another. My favorite part of this memoir were the therapy scenes, especially on the audiobook. I felt like I was in a therapy session myself, and it made me want to look deeper within me and the ways in which I have been shaped by my trauma. This is a book that I'm grateful exists.
